Be brave
Bronze, stainless steel, concrete, h-230 cm.
The sculpture, created by Egor and Mykyta Zigura, embodies a synthesis of the images of Nike of Samothrace and Nefertiti, symbolizing a modern vision of femininity. Inspired by ancient Greek and Egyptian ideals of beauty, the artists skillfully merge these two cultural archetypes into a single work, reflecting on the essence of the contemporary woman.
Like the Greek goddess of victory Nike, who stands tall at the top of the Louvre staircase, the figure radiates the energy of movement and determination toward new achievements. She seems to spread her wings, while the swirling folds of her garment emphasize a sense of triumph, confidence, and inner strength. The modern woman is portrayed as brave, filled with resolve, and ready to face any challenges. Her steadfastness is mirrored in the dynamic form of her body, which appears to move forward.
On the other hand, the sculpture also captures another facet of femininity — serenity and inner focus. As in the famous portrait of Nefertiti, the figure of the woman expresses tranquility through her closed eyes and subtle smile. This image underscores spiritual harmony and the inner strength that lies behind an external calm.
A central compositional element is the polished surface, resembling a mirror, in which the viewer can see not only the sculpture but also their own reflection. This enhances the artist's concept of self-reflection and empathy.
The sculpture was created by ZiguraArt studio specifically for the Anacosma clinic.
